INQUIRY DISCUSSION
I've learned a lot about writing from completing assignments in this course. The inquiry project taught me the most in this class. I learned that hard works pays off. I learned that sometimes you can get better ideas after working with a topic in different ways. I also learned about myself as a writer and about the things that I am passionate about.
INQUIRY discussion
My composing trajectory shows that my inquiry process trajectory involved a lot of changes and improvements. At first I was taking my paper in a whole different direction, but after doing some of the composing pieces I began to realize exactly what I wanted my paper to be about. I wasn’t even completely sure about who the audience for my paper was until later in the process. Then, I did not know how to aim my work at this specific audience. Looking at the things I did in my composing process you can see that I spent a lot of time on changing my work. I focused on new ideas and changed the whole paper completely.
I think that the peer reviews and meeting my teacher in her office hours helped me out the most. Even though it was already late in the process by the time these two things happened, I think that this is when my paper saw some major turning points. I knew that my paper wasn’t very focused and went off into many different directions, but I did not know how to fix this problem until after meeting with my teacher in her office hours. I also wasn’t sure where to make changes until the peer reviews. I did not rely solely on these things however like I would have done at the start of class, but instead I made changes where I felt they were necessary.
Writing this paper was a long process and has taught me a lot about myself and about writing in general. I liked my final product and I think that my infographic was good as well. I’ve never had to create a multimedia asset such as an infographic, so I had fun doing that and I was proud of how it turned out. I think my paper was very informative and the fact that I had so much true passion for the topic made it even better. I enjoy this project, despite all the hard work that required to get it done.
